INTERNATIONAL PEACE GARDEN

A History

The Boulder International Peace Garden, sponsored by the Dushanbe Sister City, was designed by CU Environmental Design students, Joseph Vigil IV and William Echterling. The concept was to create a design for a small park, dedicated to the concept of peace, to be located on Boulder Creek, between the Boulder Public Library and the Boulder Municipal Building.

On October 6, 1990, the International Peace Garden was dedicated to the City of Boulder.
